Demonstration planned to save NHS hospitals
4:19pm Tuesday 11th December 2012 in News By Heloise Wood
THE people of Bromley are invited to join a demonstration to save local NHS hospitals.
It will take place on December 13 from 1.30pm outside the Co-operative supermarket, in Sidcup High Street, followed by a walk to Queen Mary’s Hospital for a vigil.
Bromley Clinical Commissioning Committee confirmed last month they believe Orpington Hospital site is no longer the right place to deliver health future services from and are instead planning to build a health and wellbeing centre which is due to be open in mid 2014.
There are also concerns over the future of other hospitals including Beckenham Beacon, Lewisham, Princess Royal University, in Farnborough, and Queen Mary’s, in Sidcup.
