Cray Wanderers suffered their first away defeat of the season when a late goal brought them a 1-0 defeat at Canvey Island on Saturday.
Good goalkeeping by Andy Walker helped Cray to hold out till the 84th minute in an even game that could have gone either way until Bradley Woods-Garness finished decisively for the home side.
Three days earlier the Wands had drawn 1-1 at home to Lowestoft Town thanks to an 80th minute equaliser from Joe Vines immediately after the visitors had taken the lead from the penalty-spot.
Cray's defeat at Canvey dropped them to eleventh in the table, with a home game versus Wingate & Finchley to follow on Tuesday 11 December (7.45pm).
At the weekend Cray will be in action on Sunday 16 December at home to Kingstonian (3pm).
