CHANCELLOR George Osborne will unveil a £154 million blitz on big-name global companies and wealthy individuals in the autumn statement today.

His mini-budget is also expected to deliver equally bleak news for benefit claimants as the government continues its battle to balance the books in the face of stalling growth.

1% cut for departments and 2% next year is far too little. The government needs to get serious about scaling down the budget to fit with (current) tax payers' ability to cover it.
