MORE than 200 santas have joined forces to make their way around Bexleyheath’s Danson Park to raise money for the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice.

The festive fundraisers came together for the Santa Dash at 10am, on November 25, to run, jog and walk the 5km distance.

It is estimated they raised more than £6,000 for the hospice.

Danson Stables provided mulled wine and mince pies to participants with 50% of the profits going to the hospice.

Community fundraiser, Claire Rogers, said: “There was a great atmosphere to the event and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.

“We will definitely be repeating the Santa Dash again next year!”

“Events like this bring the community together and provide us with an opportunity to raise the necessary funds, enabling us to continue providing our specialist care free of charge to those who need it most in the boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley.

“Thank you to everyone who came along and took part.”
