POLICE powers to remove Eltham High Street trouble makers have been renewed for another six months.
The dispersal order came back into force on November 19, allowing police to break up large groups of people causing a disturbance.
It gives officers authority to return anyone under the age of 16 to their homes if they are involved in anti-social behaviour in the area.
First set up in October 2011, the order has been credited with reducing the amount of crime in Eltham, particularly dealing with problem youths.
Police Sergeant Marianne Catmull from Greenwich police said: "We want people to feel that they can visit the High Street and the shops without being concerned about anti-social behaviour. Anyone causing a disturbance in the area will be asked to leave, if necessary."
