No coin parking introduced to Gravesham Council car parks
11:06am Wednesday 28th November 2012 in News By George Sargent
Parkmobile ticketing is coming to Gravesham
GRAVESHAM parkers will be reaching for their phones and not their coins when Gravesham Council replaces its ticket machines with a new ticketing system.
As of December 3 parkers will have to buy tickets using their debit and credit cards in council car parks.
Motorists will need to ring the Parkmobile number on ticket machines provided at the beginning and end of their parking session.
If it is their first time, they will be asked for details about their car, the four or five digit location code shown on the sign and their card details.
Civil enforcement officers will be able to check if cars have paid by using internet-connected handheld devices.
Owners of iPhones, Androids, Blackberry and Windows phones can download the Parkmobile apps for free.
Call 020 3003 2523 to pre-register in advance or go to www.parkmobile.co.uk.
