A DOCTOR who treats people across the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich, is ‘delighted’ after winning a top psychiatric award.
Dr Geraldine Strathdee, a consultant psychiatrist at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, has been named Psychiatrist of the Year 2012 by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
The judges were all very impressed by her dedication and commitment to her profession and called her an outstanding psychiatrist.
Dr Strathdee said: “I am delighted and very honoured to have received the award. “The basis for this award was the excellent work carried out by Oxleas as well as my national policy and London medical director roles.”
As well as working for Oxleas she is also associate medical director of mental health for NHS London.
