AN MP who is used to the floor of the House of Commons found himself sitting on the floor during a visit in his constituency.
Bob Stewart was visiting Talking Tots, Beckenham Methodist Church, Bromley Road, Beckenham, to show his support for its nursery rhyme campaign.
Talking Tots wants to make people aware of how the rhymes can help with children’s speech and language development.
Bromley Talking Tots teacher Nicola Byers said: “Sharing rhymes with children stimulates their memory, vocabulary, social and emotional skills, giving them a real head start in their language development.
“A great rhyme can boost your child’s imagination – you’ll be amazed at the conversations you can have about their favourite ones.”
