BROMLEY students have shown off their business savvy in a Dragons’ Den style competition.
The entrepreneurial youngsters, who are studying Level 3 BTEC Business, will be competing in the nationals on November 12 after winning the first round at Bromley College, in Rookery Lane.
They had to pitch their start-up idea, unveiling their company website, business plan and an advert filmed on YouTube, to a panel of college directors.
Concepts ranged from a clothing recycling company to a protective motorcycle clothing.
After much deliberation, the judges chose drinks team The Last Stand as the winners.
The company is aimed at the festivals market where the drinks stand would be available to hire, serving a range of hot and cold beverages.
Joe Gaymer, 19, said: "It feels fantastic to win as we put a lot of hard work into it.
"We came up with the business idea of a drinks stand for events and festivals after brainstorming ideas and thinking about the things we liked on holiday."
