FUNERAL arrangements have been announced for the much respected former Gravesham Council leader Mike Snelling.
A private family cremation will be held on Thursday (November 8) followed by a service of celebration and thanksgiving at 11am at St John the Baptist Church, Wrotham Road, Meopham in Gravesend.
A reception will follow at Woodville Halls, Civic Centre, Windmill Street in Gravesend.
The family have asked for no black to be worn and for people to dress cheerfully in celebration of his life.
They have requested no flowers and asked for donations to be made to Reach, the association for children with upper limb deficiency and the Rotary Club of Gravesend and Meopham.
Cheques should include the words "In memory of Mike Snelling" on the back and be sent to funeral directors Lewis Solomon, 19, Darnley Road, Gravesend.
