A GRAVESEND man has been jailed after a cash machine containing more than £20,000 was stolen from Brands Hatch race track.
Jason Reader, aged 37, of Valley Drive, pleaded guilty to theft of the cash machine and allowing himself to be carried in a stolen vehicle.
David Wilson, aged 40, of no fixed address, also pleaded guilty to theft of the cash machine as well as taking a vehicle without consent and driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Both men were sentenced to two years in prison, and Wilson was also disqualified from driving for four years.
Police were called to the racing circuit shortly before midnight on October 3 following the theft of the standalone machine.
A stolen van and the two suspects were later tracked down to the car park of a hotel in Haven Court Road, Gravesend.
The two men were arrested and charged by officers on October 4.
Reader and Wilson were sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday (October 26).
