New infant school for Eynsham Drive, Abbey Wood

A NEW infant school for Abbey Wood will be built at the site of an old college.
Plans have been approved for the St Thomas A Beckett school at the former City Learning Centre on Eynsham Drive, which has been vacant since last March.
Greenwich Council's plans will see the existing centre remodelled, along with a two-storey infant classroom block, with two rooms for Year 1 pupils and a playground.
There will also be a nursery and reception building at the site.
The project, which will provide room for 60 pupils, was approved by a Greenwich Council planning committee last week.
