IMAGINE making your friends and family’s Christmas especially personal this year by giving them a card you have designed yourself.

Well, this dream can come true if you are the lucky winner of News Shopper’s Christmas card competition.

Last week we revealed the child who we judge to have created the best design will win the honour of having it used as the paper’s e-card as well as getting an Kindle Fire e-reader.

And we are now proud to announce the winner will also get a box of 100 cards featuring their design to send out.

Two runners up will each receive an iPod Shuffle.

News Shopper editor Andy Parkes said: "This is the first year we have run the competition and so far we have been overwhelmed by the number and quality of the entries we have received.

“With just under a month left before judging begins there is still time to put pen to paper and create a Christmassy masterpiece and so if you have not already done so there is no time like the present to start designing.

“And now with the winner getting a box of their cards to send out, this is an extra special incentive to get involved and help spread festive cheer.”

HOW TO ENTER

From now until noon on November 23 we want you to get creative with glitter, paint, charcoal, felt, pencils, colouring pens - and any other materials you want - to design a great card.

And then when you have finished your design you should scan it into a computer so you can enter the competition by sending it to us by email either as a jpeg or pdf attachment.

There are three age categories (four to six years; seven to 10 years and 11 to 14 years) so make sure your email clearly has your name, age, address and contact telephone number.

JUDGING

All entries for the competition must be received by noon on November 23 so our judging panel can pore over your hard work and come up with a top 12 for each of the three categories.

Once we have come up with the shortlist for each category it is time for your mums, dads, grandparents, friends and neighbours to get involved.

The top 12 designs in each group will be published online and readers will be asked to vote for their favourite on a special Christmas voting phoneline.
