THOUSANDS of bulbs will be planted at Crystal Palace Park during a community event.
Everyone is invited to come along and help with the Dig It scheme between 11am to 3pm on October 28 and 29.
The planting of narcissi and daffodil bulbs will take place on the grassy areas between the Information Centre and the Boating Lake in the park and the council’s parks team will be on hand to offer a helping hand.
Friends of Crystal Palace Park and the Crystal Palace Community Stakeholder group have organised the event to plant thousands of bulbs, supported by Bromley Council.
Executive councillor for environment Colin Smith said: "Not only do days like this leave colourful legacies in our parks for many years to come, we have found across the borough that they serve to strengthen local communities too."
No equipment or experience is necessary and it is open to all ages.
