A COUNCIL is giving away pouches for smokers and gum-chewers in a battle against litter.
Gravesham Council is handing out 2,000 Stubbi pouches for smokers.
There are 1,000 pouches for cigarette ends only and another 1,000 which also have an extra pocket for chewing gum.
The pouches will be available free at the Civic Centre welcome desk in Windmill Street, Gravesend.
They will also be available at the housing offices in King's Farm, Lawrance Square and the Hive.
TownCentric tourist centre will also have them and some will also be given out by PCSOs, who are now able to issue penalty notices for littering.
People who dispose of any litter in the street face £75 fines.
The council has also recently launched a reminder campaign with banners in the town centre.
