Walton Casuals 1-1 Cray Wanderers
A LATE equaliser from Danny Chapman salvaged a point for Cray at unbeaten Walton Casuals on Saturday.
Tyrone Sterling was prominent for Cray on the left wing as the Wands started brightly, but play became scrappy in the strong wind and half time arrived with no goals scored.
Tony Atkins and Jamie Kempster went close for Cray after the restart, but it was Walton who took the lead through Craig Lewington when he slammed in penalty-kick awarded for Mark Willy's sliding tackle in the box on 75 minutes.
Cray manager Ian Jenkins was sent out of the dug-out for arguing the penalty decision with referee Mr Linden.
But the Wands battled back to earn a draw when Atkins was fouled on the right, Tony Dolby took the free-kick, and Chapman bundled the ball into the net during a goalmouth scramble.
Cray continue in Ryman League action on Tuesday night (7.45pm) at home to Whitstable Town.
