Craig Mallinder retained his vice like grip on the Singles Knock Out becoming the Summer 2008 champion this week in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance.
This win means that he has retained the title through four separate knock outs and remains undefeated since 2006/07, a remarkable achievement.
His victim in the final was fellow team mate from the George IV Adam Coppen, who himself looked in good form when defeating Rob Chalmers in the semi final.
Unfortunately he couldn't quite match Mallinder's fire power and went down by 5 frames to 3.
The other semi finalist and only non George IV representative in the last four was Steve Krishnan from the Hotshots who succumbed 4-2 in his effort to claim the title.
As the season enters the final few frames of the campaign there was only one other league match played.
The Kings Arms gratefully took the majority of the points with a 2-1 home win against the Woolwich Catholic Club helping them to close up on third place in the Tier 2 West division.
The registration window is now open for any new teams wishing to join the SLKPA with matches played on Thursday evenings.
