FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours dealing with "deliberate" fires in the region overnight.

Two crews from Thames-side fire station were called to a field in Southfleet which was alight yesterday evening.

They arrived at the scene at around 6.50pm and were there until about 9.30pm.

It is being treated as suspicious.

A car fire near ADM Pura Foods Ltd, Erith Oil Works, is also believed to have been started deliberately.

Erith firefighters took around 30 minutes to put the Vauxhall Corsa out and left the scene by around 12.30am today (August 28).

How stupid! They get blamed because most of the trouble and anti-social behaviour is caused by kids.

Would you be willing to bet your savings on this not being done by kids? Don't think so!
