A 30-YEAR-old labourer has been charged with the murder of a former Bromley student.
Steven Braithwaite of no fixed address will appear at Sutton Magistrates' court today (August 21).
Nilanthan Murddi was stabbed in Sumner Road, Croydon, on Saturday (August 16).
The former sixth form pupil at Langley Park School for Girls, Hawksbrook Lane, Beckenham was taken to Mayday Hospital, Croydon, after the incident at around 1.35am.
But the 17-year-old from New Addington was pronounced dead at 4.30am.
His 18-year-old sister Santhiya said: "He was outgoing, bubbly and energetic and always willing to do things for other people. We were very close."
