Mum speaking out on MMR and autism link

A MOTHER who believes the MMR jab caused her son's autism has contributed to a book all about the issue.
Deborah Nash saw the first symptoms of autism in her son David on July 9, 1994 - just four days after he received the vaccination for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR).
This led the 48-year-old, who lives in Tredegar Road, Wilmington, to believe the jab caused the condition in her son, who was 13 months old at the time and is now 14.
She said: "I honestly believe the MMR jab caused it because he wasn't born autistic.
"He was happy and bright and doing all the usual things.
"He slept well and was walking at 11 months. We had absolutely no concerns about him."
Mrs Nash believes parents of children who developed the condition after getting the vaccination are not being listened to by the Government.
Frustrated by this, she and other parents have united to write a book voicing their opinions.
Mrs Nash wrote chapter seven of Silenced Witnesses, which was published in March.
In it, she describes her experiences of caring for David and her frustration at the Government's refusal to begin research into the repercussions of the jab.
She wrote: "There is little hope of finding a cure' for regressive autism unless and until there is properly funded clinical research into the
victims."
If research found the MMR jab had caused autism, the Government and pharmaceutical companies responsible may have to pay compensation to its victims.
Mrs Nash believes this may be the reason why they are reluctant to research the link between the jab and autism.
She wrote: "For many I think the cost of doing the right thing is just too high."
Mrs Nash hopes the book will raise awareness of the issue among the general public and put pressure on the Government to investigate it.
The MMR jab is a mixture of three weakened viruses injected into babies, usually aged around one, to make them immune to measles, mumps and rubella.
The Department of Health website says: "There is currently no scientific evidence available to support the suggestion of a link between MMR and autism."

It is so important that these kind of issues become common knowledge!
I recently went to Tunisia and brought back Saffron. Extremely pleased that I managed to purchase this spice at a fraction of the cost. Later a Tunisian friend advised me to throw it all away as it has probably been tampered with and was likely to be dangerous! She got me some to replace it at no cost at all. In other countries such as on the African Continent counterfeit medication is sold in bulk to pharmacies worldwide which are not beneficial but likely harmful or useless! Public awareness on these issues should be raised immediately!
Well done to the many campaigners who have spread the word.

Later a Tunisian friend advised me to throw it all away as it has probably been tampered with and was likely to be dangerous! She got me some to replace it at no cost at all. In other countries such as on the African Continent counterfeit medication is sold in bulk to pharmacies worldwide which are not beneficial but likely harmful or useless! Public awareness on these issues should be raised immediately!

While these stories are sad, there is still no evidence to link MMR with autism. In fact there are studies that show the opposite may be the case. Check out this site.

.uk for details). The real tragedy is that vaccination rates are now so low (due to the disproved autism theory) that there is a very real risk that there will be a serious measles outbreak. Measles is a very nasty disease - it can and does kill. I would urge all parents whose children are not immunised to get in touch with their GP to arrange their jabs.

There has just been a measles outbreak in the Lewisham area. I am a nurse and today need to go to have my measles immunity double checked as am in contact with child patients.

Im am so pleased that the issue of the MMR vaccination has not been forgotten. My Daughter was born in 1990 and was one of the first batch of vaccinations to be given,she as with all the other children i know and have heard of was a NORMAL little girl developing as expected until she had her MMR jab at 13 months, within 2 months she had lost her speach,started to suffer from irritable bowels.When taking her to my GPs i was told by the doctor " Theres something not quite right" as he tapped his head.After numerous tests i was told that they had no idea what was wrong with my Daughter. But she did'nt start to talk again until she was 4, she is 5 years behind in her development and speech. She is now described as having a severe language dissorder. I have 4 Children and only my Daughter has had the vaccine and she is the only one that has problems!. I would like to see a National survey asking ALL parents who think their child has been affected to speak out, i would like to see the results.

I too have a child with regressive autism and a bowel disorder both of which developed shortly after MMR.

I agree with the Bill from Scotland. These studies that have been done to proove MMR does not cause Autism are in fact not accurate full blown studies at all and are all very pro MMR done mostly by the pharmaceutical companies. Also many high profile people who make the decisions on vaccines are in fact tied to the pharmaceuticals. I also have a chapter in the book

An excellent article and a superb book, well done Deborah Nash from Wilmington, so many share your pain and we are indeed silenced.
My perfectly healthy and happy baby had an immediate and extreme reaction to the MMR before my very eyes, so no amount of scaremongering will convince me that such a lethal cocktail of vaccines is safe. He is brain damaged, inflicted with a life sentence for the sake of herd immunity or the greater good...of what I ask, certainly not the life he has lost with this living dead existence.
We contracted measles, mumps and rubella naturally in the 1950/60’s and with only the most basic of care available at home, made a full recovery along with all our friends who attended the infected parties arranged in our honour. The only lasting memory of the ‘killer’ measles was cotton wool in our ears and wearing sunglasses, a small price to pay for life-long immunity.
Complications, brain damage or even death by catching these viruses naturally, would have been far easier to cope with, then playing Russian Roulette and knowing that we allowed our precious baby to be destroyed in this most barbaric and inhumane way.

Well done Mrs Nash for speaking out , my son developed chronic diahhroea 5 days after the MMRvaccine and regressed into Autism , i believe studies on the MMRvaccine were only checked for 3 weeks after the child was innoculated , that is no safety trial as far as i am concerned ,more research is needed and it is needed know
