Chemical waste dumped in Biggin Hill
RUSTING drums of chemical waste have been found dumped in a garage.
Police and fire crews found a garage door at the back of a block of flats in Main Road, Biggin Hill, had been forced open and three large containers containing hazardous chemicals, were left inside.
The waste was removed by Bromley Council's environmental health officers after the discovery on May 12.
It is unclear what was in the drums and police are still hunting for the culprits.
Detective Inspector Jane Corrigan from Bromley police said: "Fly-tipping ranges from a black bag on a street corner to an extreme incident like this. It is illegal and creates an unwelcoming environment - everyone deserves to live in clean, safe neighbourhoods."
Anyone with any information should contact the Biggin Hill safer neighbourhood team on 020 8721 2820.
