Five men face drugs plot charges

FIVE men have been charged with conspiracy to supply drugs.

Gary Brennan, aged 44, of The Green, Welling, 47-year-old Michael Daly, of Beech Way, Bexley, and Neil McCrory, aged 30, of Earl Rise, Plumstead, appeared at South Western Magistrates' Court yesterday (May 19).

Appearing alongside them at the Clapham court were Paul Young, aged 40, from West Malling, and Patrick Ince, aged 44, from Tonbridge.

They were all remanded in custody and are due to appear at Kingston Crown Court on July 30.

All five men have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A, Class B and Class C drugs.

They were arrested after officers from the Met Police and UK Borders Agency intercepted an inflatable boat landing on a beach near Folkestone. The boat is believed to have arrived from France.

Around 100 kilos of what is believed to be cocaine, amphetamine and skunk cannabis was found in a nearby lock-up container.
