Tribute to window fall victim
Rosimeiri Boxall died after falling out of a third-floor window in Blackheath
Rosimeiri Boxall died after falling out of a third-floor window in Blackheath

THE family of a teenager who died after falling out of a flat window in Blackheath have spoken about their loss.

Rosimeiri Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window of a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, and had suffered serious injuries.

The 19-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, but she died at 7.21pm on Saturday.

A post-mortem examination took place yesterday (May 18) and gave internal injuries as the cause of death.

A resident of Coleraine Road, who asked not to be named, said: "I was outside my house in the evening and I heard raised voices of girls shouting and arguing with a guy who was trying to calm them down.

"Then I heard a high-pitched strangled noise as the girl fell."

In a statement the Boxall family said: "The loss of Rosimeiri, a much loved sister and daughter, has left a void in this close-knit family that cannot be filled.

"Rosi was adopted but she was our daughter and sister.

"She was a loving, caring person who brought frequently-remembered times of fun and laughter to the family and who was much loved by her three nieces.

"More than just a daughter and sister, she was also a great friend who will always be missed.

"We appreciate everything the police are doing in investigating this tragic incident and we would appreciate if our privacy could be respected at this time."

Police are treating the death as suspicious but it is not a murder inquiry.

Two girls, aged 17 and 13, were arrested in connection with the investigation and were taken to a south London police station.

They have been bailed to return in June.

Police want to speak to anyone who was near 105 Coleraine Road at around 6.30pm on Saturday (May 17).

Anyone with information should call police on 020 8721 4961 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

I also knew Rosi and agree she was sweet and shy. She was also very vulnerable and had a very troubled life. At least she no longer has to deal with her aggressors and tormentors.RIP Rosie

I can't believe this has happened. When are the Government going to put some sort of deterrent in place, so we don't keep losing our children to these animals. RIP young lady.

I have just read another paper reporting that this child suffered from being held by the youths and filmed for a happy slapping, how very sick and very sad for a young lady to be put in a position of such fear to have to jump to her death, my heart goes out to her family and true freinds how they must be feeling such pain at this moment in time, RIP young lady we live in hell we can only go to heaven
