 |
| CCTV image of man police want to question |
POLICE are appealing for information after a 30-year-old rail passenger suffered a broken jaw in an attack.
The man was travelling on the train from Victoria with his wife on April 25.
As he got off at Bromley South, a passenger who he had started chatting to on the train, got off and assaulted him, leaving him unconscious.
British Transport Police Detective Sergeant Danny Stockdale said: "This was a grievous assault on a man who has to spend the next few weeks unable to eat solid food."
DS Stockdale said police had located a still image from CCTV of a man they would like to speak with in relation to this incident.
He is described as being 30 to 35-years-old, about 5ft 9in tall, wearing a red top and dark trousers.
It is thought he might be from the Swanley area.
Anyone who recognises him should call British Transport Police on 0800 405040 or the Witness Appeal Line on 0207 391 5275 quoting reference B9 of 15/5/2008.

Surely the time would be the MOST logical thing to put on this report, so that people would know if they were in the area at the time?
Come on newsshopper - put the obvious info on the report.

Would probably sound logical to put this ad on the Swanley page too then if you think he might live in Swanley, you might have a bit more luck!!
