Condonlences to his family. I went to collect my car a little while after this tradegy and i think the police should have been a little more polite, telling people not to look and just go away - doesn't help anyone! There were people on the bridge watching! and i personally didn't want to see anything.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. David was a great son, father and husband. He saw the good in everyone and was always there with a joke and a smile. He worked in the advertising world and was known throughout the industry. David always thought of his family first and this is what killed him. He had left a toy car for his son and flowers for his wife on the train - something he bought every Friday. We are absolutely devastated at his loss and we can never see an end to the thoughts of this tragic time. Thank you all - it is a great comfort that we are receiving these messages.

Had the privilege of working with Dave on Charlton Live (Millennium FM) where he tech op'd the show for Mark Mansfield and co, we used to rib him rotten about his mullet - always took the jokes and gave as good as he got. As everyone has said, he was a decent, honest, nice bloke. Always smiling. Thoughts are with his family. RIP.

Dave, you always had me in fits of laughter. I will always remember heated discussions about your taste in 80's music and your bad taste in summer clothes. The world feels that more hollow without you in it and my heart is with Shelly and Daniel, your Mum and Dad and also with Nicky and Lyndsey during this terrible time.

Alex Hinge, London says...
1:29pm Tue 13 May 08

My wife Sam and I shared a flat with Dave for about 2 years. During that time he ate nothing but cheese, pot noodles and bread.
His language got ever more colourful with each passing day and there was no escape from his 80's music taste, Charlton FC and bottles of sweet sherry.
Now that he has gone, we will treasure those times more than ever. His outlook was always positive and as everyone says here, he always had a smile on his face. I keep expecting him to walk through the door, bandying about his favourite expletive.
I have such happy memories of him and a sense of loss I have never felt before.
Our condolences go to Shelley, Daniel and all the family.

These messages are so comforting thank you. Dave did a crazy thing for me and Daniel and it cost him his life. I have lost my best friend and the love of my life. Daniel has lost a fantastic Daddy. To those of you who have not met Daniel he is just like Dave, beautiful, funny and mildly irritatiing. Dave was amazing he had a huge amount of energy and his wit was incredible. I have stories of Dave that make me cry with laughter. There is now a huge void in our lives Thank you for all your messages, Dave will be loving the limelight.
I know his last wishes and they are - "Celebrate his life and no to sad faces."

Dave I love you with all my heart - at night now Daniel and I kiss first then we have a kiss and a hug for you". Forever with me. Shelley.

Dave was the kindest, funniest person we have ever had the pleasure of working with. My sister and I worked with Dave at Partners BDDH where we enjoyed Dave’s various catch phrases on a daily basis – ‘sandwiches’ being one of our personal favorites. Being in touch with Dave only last week on email makes this tragic accident seem even more surreal. He will always be remembered by us for his unique infectious humor and cheeky grin.
Our thoughts are with all of Dave's family and friends.

We can not believe this happened, and are shocked and stunned at the news. It seemed such a short time ago when we were all sat around the table laughing at the wedding, and now this has happened a year later almost to the day. Dave was funny, warm, caring and an engaging young man with a real sparkle about him.
