Sports car driver flees crash scene
    A Lamorghini Gallardo
    A Lamorghini Gallardo

POLICE are searching for the driver of a sports car who fled following a collision in Chislehurst.

The driver of a blue Lamborghini Gallardo left the scene after a collision involving a silver Peugeot 206 last night.

A 40-year old woman trapped in the back of the Peugeot, had to be cut free from the car by firefighters and was taken to hospital with suspected back injuries.

Three other people, including the driver and two passengers, escaped from the car uninjured.

Emergency services were called to the accident at the junction between Orpington Road, St.Paul's Wood and Leesons Hill just after 11pm yesterday.

All three roads were closed until 12.42am.

They reopened for an hour before closing again for 30 minutes while a recovery vehicle towed away the cars.

Police are making inquiries about the owner of the Lamborghini who left the scene of the accident before emergency services arrived.

They say the car - named after a famous breed of fighting bull - had not been reported lost or stolen.

Won't be too hard to find the owner of a car like this. There can't be too many people that can actually afford to buy one surely? Unless Jeremy Clarkson was test driving in the area?

Pink Kitten, Lizziloo, AP, Wot's occuring, Locked and Loaded and Erastus. You congregate on the forums of news stories and fill up comments with your idle prattle. Why don't you "hang-out" on Bebo or My Space? You are the online equivalent of a gang of hoodies loitering outside the local newsagent or off-licence. If only there were such a thing as an online dispersal order to send the lot of you packing. You make the stories on this news site look untidy and you have nothing to say. This is not your turf. Consider yourselves disrespected.

So 'Rastus, you got your own blog - and you still hang about in the news forum. What would you think if Bexley council spent council tax payers money on an all singing all dancing youth centre in your beloved Erith - and the kids still wanted to hang out on the street. It doesn't make sense does it 'Stus?

Well perhaps if you had been in the car like I was you might be a bit more kind.I thought we were going to die and so did the police. You obviously think it's acceptable to leave 3 people trapped in a car.

Beast, what a great attitude you have. Next you will be worried about the idiot's car or his insurance premiums. If you saw the state that he left the 3 woman in, you would be disgusted too. He should be put away, and have his licence revoked for life.. that could have been your family in that car.

For many years now people have been fleeing the scene of an accident, It does not make them scum...but i would like to add that it takes scum to know scum...you might like to take that into consideration next time you spout your ridiculas rubbish.
All people are different, some panic and run, from fear or for their own protection, either way it does not make them scum, just scared.
Have any of you been in an accident like this ? ( watch now as everyone claims to have been in a near death rta) Can you honestly say you wouldnt react in the same way ? Its ok sitting there in front of your pc putting on a brave act over a web page, but reality is completely different, by the sound of most of you judgemental excuses for human beings you would just stay sat in the car frozen with fear with excretment running down your legs. As for those that clainm he should be locked up have his licence taken away blah blah blah...well mr/mrs lardy dar, who died and made you judge jury and executioner ? we have a legal system in place to investigate the cause of an accident, as far as im aware that report hasnt even been completed let alone published to the genral public, thats not to say he isnt guilty as sin, but forget not, every man is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt......you are all way to judgemental. seeing the state he left them in and actually being at the scene at the time are two completely different things, and if you was there then you would have been required to give a witness statement where you would have been told not to discuss this case, esecially in the press, so you are either a liar or a buffoon !

I have been reading these posts and i'm quite stunned by some of the comments 'writers' have made.

I wasn't at this accident but feel for those involved.

I have a CONSCIENCE and IF ever I hurt someone else - I would admit it. Scared or not, I would hold my hands up and take my punishment.

It feels like some 'writers' are justifying the actions of a 'hit and run'.

However you paint it, 'hit and run' is wrong.

Finally, 'who do u think u r, here and there' - it would help if you would put us all 'in the know' then we can write 'better informed posts'
