Pickpocket sisters get jail terms

A PICKPOCKET who stole money from elderly women with her sister has been jailed.
Anne-Marie McDonagh, aged 39, of Bekesbourne Tower, Wichling Close, Orpington, was given an
18-month jail term at Croydon Crown Court on May 1.
McDonagh and her sister, Mary, aged 25, of the same address, had both pleaded guilty to three charges of theft and one charge of attempted theft.
The sisters had asked for 17 other matters to be taken into consideration at Bromley Magistrates' Court on January 28.
Mary McDonagh was given a six-month jail term on the same day.
Bromley police's Detective Inspector Jane Corrigan said: "I am pleased with the significant prison sentence handed down to Anne-Marie McDonagh, as it will afford her plenty of time to reflect on her crimes.
"Those who commit this type of offence must expect to be punished severely."

What scum. I am pleased they were given prison terms but I doubt they will serve the duration of them.
I hope their elderley victims don't have to go through anything like this again.
