A MEMORIAL service will be held today (April 22) to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
The service will be led by the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, in Trafalgar Square, at 3pm.
Black teenager Stephen was stabbed to death by a gang of white youths at a bus stop in Eltham on April 22, 1993.
Five men were arrested but no-one was convicted of his murder.
Stephen's mother Doreen Lawrence has fought a long campaign to bring her son's killers to justice and in November last year police said they were investigating new forensic evidence.
