The season of the little black dress is back, and the best way to wear this classic outfit is with beautiful accessories and a fantastic hairstyle. The team at Graham Webb International has some ideas for perfect party styling.

An up-do always adds a touch of elegance to your party look, and styling doesn't have to be a nightmare contrary to popular opinion.

There is just one golden rule for up-dos, and that is that hair that is squeaky clean is more difficult to pin into place than day-old hair, so wash it the night before.

For a simple evening look that is sexy without trying, tie long hair back into a low pony tail either at the back or at one side and clip in a flower for an exotic finish.

For sophisticated chic try a topknot. Sweep hair backwards into a ponytail and wrap it around itself, securing at the base with grips.

If your hair isn't long enough to be put up or it doesn't suit you, don't panic as tresses can look just as fantastic down.

Poker straight hair can be very dramatic - make sure you blow dry your locks with the nozzle of the hairdryer pointing downwards to avoid any frizz, run straighteners through to finish and smooth a touch of Clynol's Sleek Shine Serum over the top sections to give a polished look and keep hair shining all night long.

If you have wavy hair, why not make the extra effort and curl it? Use products designed to hold curls in, such as Clynol's Lift Strong Mousse before curling and your sensuous curls should last through the party.

Your questions answered

Q. Why does my hair get to a certain length and then refuse to grow any more? It's driving me crazy!

A. I know it's frustrating, but each person's hair has its own unique life cycle averaging from between five and ten years, after which the hair falls out and a new one grows in its place.

If you really want long locks, I would suggest investing in a really good clip-on hairpiece which will be great for nights out and means that you can alter your style at will!
