MOTORISTS were delayed after a lorry collided with a car and shed its load of paper yesterday.
The large articulated lorry struck a car at 12.45pm on the London-bound A2, around 200 metres from the junction with the M25.
All three lanes were closed after the incident.
Police eventually borrowed a JCB from a nearby roadworks to push the paper rolls out of the way so the road could be cleared.
Drivers and passengers behind the accident were delayed for an hour-and-a-half following the collision, although the hard shoulder was opened, allowing some traffic to ease through.
