When someone is generous enough to give you a lift in their car do you respond by being the passenger from hell?

A survey has revealed what London drivers hate most about the people sitting next to or behind them.

Messy friends, backseat drivers and distracting passengers were among the main peeves.

Bad navigators and the classic ‘Are we there yet?’ question wind up the capital’s motorists too.

See the full list below which also includes farting, leaving nail clippings behind (both gross!) and being a skinflint when it comes to sharing the cost.

Jonathan Le Roux, co-founder and director at The Car Loan Warehouse, which the survey was conducted for, said: "No one likes a litter-bug and it seems like the general public hate dirty cars too.

“Moral of the survey is get in, close the door carefully, don't fiddle with the buttons and, most importantly of all, NEVER leave your rubbish.”
