1:09pm Monday 16th July 2012 in Lifestyle
Join in the French breakfast revolution during July as our cousins across the channel celebrate Bastille Day.
The start of the French Revolution began with the storming of the bastille, leading to the downfall of the monarchy and the rising of the French republic. To honour their independence, the event is marked with Bastille Day on July 14 and is France’s national day.
To join in with the celebrations you could be tucking in to a hamper worth £75 full of tasty brioche products. The prize includes pain au chocolate, milk brioche roll, croissants, a Brioche Pasquier pen, polo shirt, cap and jacket and freshness clips, as well as a gift pack of St Dalfour Jam preserves.
The Brioche Pasquier story started in 1936, with Gabriel Pasquier’s small family bakery situated in Les Cerqueux, West of France. His five sons took over the family business in 1974 and carried on baking brioche to supply to the whole of France.
Today Brioche Pasquier's products are famous for their high quality and unique flavour, and they can be found right here in the UK. For more information visit www.briochepasquier.com
To be in with a chance of winning the picnic hamper filled with delicious Brioche Pasquier products as well as a selection of St. Dalfour preserves, answer the following question:
In which year did Gabriel Pasquier begin making his famous brioche?
