It is a match made in culinary heaven – gourmet French chocolatier Valrhona has partnered with celebrity chef Eric Lanlard for exclusive chocolate classes in Wandsworth.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the brand’s Guanaja 70 per cent chocolate – which is used by the world’s top pastry chefs – the pair will host five day-long classes at Lanlard’s highly regarded Cake Boy in Battersea Reach.

French patissier Lanlard trained with Albert and Michel Roux and has fronted television shows such as Glamour Puds and Baking Mad. He is well-known for making wedding bakes for Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Liz Hurley, Claudia Schiffer and an birthday cakes for Brooklyn Beckham and the Queen Mother.

At the £250 classes, hosted alongside Valrhona’s UK pastry chef Luke Frost for up to to just eight people at a session, bakers will learn to make an Arabesque Gateaux Opera, a Hazelnut Chocolat Croustilliant and a flourless Gateaux Chocolat.

Guests will also get lunch, a Cake Boy apron and gift voucher and take home an exclusive Valrhona gift bag.

The classes run from 9.30am to 5pm on June 9, June 30, August 18, September 29 and October 20.
