Drinkers will be able to enjoy ten beers from around the world alongside British booze during a 17-day festival at three Bexley pubs.

The Autumn Ale festival sees brews from New Zealand, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Holland, Norway and the United States on tap, complementing up to 20 beers from across the UK being served.

All of the beers will cost between £2.10 and £2.35 a pint at Wetherspoons boozers The Wrong Un in Broadway and The Furze Wren in Market Place, Bexleyheath, and The Tailor’s Chalk in Sidcup.

The Wrong ‘Un’s manager Terence Fitzgerald said: "We are thrilled to be serving such a fantastic selection of beers from across the world as well as those from the UK.

"The festival will be the perfect way for real ale enthusiasts to enjoy a range of excellent beers from overseas brewers.”

As well as the festival beers – many of which were brewed exclusively and are appearing in pubs for the first time – there are three tipples specially made to tie in with the Rugby World Cup: Sin Bin (Liberation Brewery), Tight Five (White Horse Brewery) and Tap & Go (Woodforde's Brewery).

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a festival pint and tasting notes on all of the beers will be available in the pubs.

Wetherspoons’ Autumn Ale Festival runs from October 16 to November 1.
