A Crayford chippy has been named one of the best in the country.
The Parade Fish Bar in Crayford Way was recognised as one of the UK’s 50 best fish and chip shops in a competition organised by Trade experts Fry Magazine.
Owner Sukh Dhothar said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named in the UK's top 50. It's amazing.
"It's great to be recognised for the work we're doing. We took over this shop just over a year ago, so to be placed in the top 50 in the country is just fantastic."
MORE FOOD AND DRINK NEWS:
Almost 500 fish and chip shops across the UK entered the competition, run by Fry Magazine, and each one was visited by a mystery shopper from an independent company.
They assessed 40 aspects of the business, including the quality of fish and chips, staff presentation, front-of-house hygiene and customer service.
Reece Head, publisher at Frymagazine.com, said: "Our judges marked to a tough set of criteria so being in the 50 best is a real testament to the procedures, practices and staff in place at those outlets."
