A Deptford bar that upped sticks to New Cross is on the move again – hosting secret house parties across south east London.

Voted Best Local Bar by Time Out magazine readers, Little Nan’s Bar started life in Deptford two years ago before moving to a temporary home at Birdie Num Nums in Lewisham Way, where it remains on Friday and Saturday nights.

Owner Tristan Scutt, 32, from Deptford, started the business in memory of his grandmother who passed away three years ago. It offers a vibrant and friendly vibe while serving a wide range of alcoholic drinks. Cocktails are available, all named after famous people or characters Tristan's grandmother liked, including Lady Betlich and Lady Pat Butcher.

“The idea of the bar came from my nan really,” Tristan said. “She came up with a lot of cocktail ideas and it just went from there.”

He added: “We want to spoil the customers, we love celebrations as well, we like to make everyone feel welcome.”

Now Little Nan’s is branching out with a series of secret house parties, starting with two weekends at a secret location Telegraph Hill beginning on January 30.

The event offers the customary cocktails in teapots as well as other drinks, food, and for the more reserved, Little Mum’s Afternoon Tea on January 31.

The award-winners are also branching out further Little Nan’s Cocktail Club – where revellers can hire their services for weddings and other parties.
