Personal Overview - A former British Commander in Bosnia, he inherited this safe Conservative seat from the retiring Jacqui Lait at the 2010 election. Had a long and successful military career before first coming into the public eye during the UN involvement in Bosnia in the early 1990s, where he was a regular contributer to the media earning him the nickname 'Bosnia Bob'. Following on from his military career he moved into Public Relations and followed this up by becoming Managing Director of Worldspace (UK) Ltd, which was active establishing satellite broadcasting across the world. His political experience stems from his military career, where he had briefed Prime Ministers since the time of Ted Heath in the early 1970s as well his work as a public affairs consultant in the mid/late 1990s. He holds one of the safest Conservative seats in the country and is likely to be a source of advice to any Conservative Government on International Defence issues.

Personal Overview - Elected to the European Parliament from third place on the London Conservative Party list. Has been involved running a small business for over 23 years with experience negotiating in in Europe on behalf of her UK clients. She has campaigned to reduce regulation on business, reducing EU waste and fraud and on the sensible managing of migration. She also has experience raising funds for charity, as a former Chair of the Mayor of Barnet's Charity Appeal 2005/06 raising money for the mental health charity MIND.
