EVERY hit movie these days, especially animations, has a computer game to go with it - and so this is Wall-E, the game of the new film.
If you're not familiar with Wall-E the movie yet then no doubt you soon will be when the Disney Pixar marketing drive gets up to full speed.
It's set to be the big summer holidays hit for kids. But like it's predecessors from the same stable (Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Cars), it's likely to be popular with adults too.
Wall-E the game lets you take on the role of either the title character from the movie of his companion Eve.
It's action and adventure all the way as you explore a massive futuristic world, completing fast-paced missions, solving puzzles, destroying enemies and keeping Wall-E and his friend safe from harm.
The game is clearly tailored towards children, and any child will love taking on the role of one of their favourite characters once they have seen the film. The game will make kids think they are in the movie.
Maybe not for serious hardcore gamers, but Wall-E the game is complex enough to keep adults' attention (well, mine anyway - but then I am a big kid!) for a good while too.
The game's graphics are sound and seem to closely resemble the movie's look and feel. The environments you can race around are nicely detailed. Overall, the game's presentation is very slick.
The gameplay is very polished and (although I've yet to see the film) it seems to be a game based on the movie rather than being a game which simply copies its cinema tie-in.
Once the kids have seen the film during the holiday, they'll spend hours reliving the fun of the movie but also enjoying some new adventures with Wall-E.
And when the kids aren't looking, parents can load up the game and see how far they can get with it too.
