OUR band Strange Fashion normally plays the pubs and clubs of south and London, Kent and Surrey, the chance to play the GuilFest with the likes of some big names was something we didn't need to think twice about.
This year's headliners were Supergrass, Squeeze and Madness.
Our slot came at 2.15pm on the last day of the three-day festival on the Andertons Live Club Stage, one of the smaller stages at the event.
We had played the same stage previously at the 2004 GuilFest.
We did a 30-minute set featuring our own material, and played to a packed house - partly due to a torrential downpour which was going on at the time.
We took this opportunity well and after performing six songs left the stage to resounding cheers from the audience who eagerly snapped up copies of our new CD Retropolis. We were also interviewed for the GuilFest website (guilfest.co.uk) We're playing at The Hobgoblin, 7 Devonshire Road, Forest Hill, August 10.
