AN EMMERDALE star swapped the northern countryside for Swanley at the opening of a new Poundland.
Kelvin Fletcher who plays Andy Sugden attended a family fun day to celebrate the opening of the store in Swanley Shopping Centre.
The soap star posed for pictures and signed autographs.
A DJ welcomed customers throughout the day and shoppers had the chance to win vouchers to spend in the shop.
Trading director at Poundland, David Coxon, said: “We are delighted to see that the shoppers of Swanley welcomed us into the community.
"Poundland offers amazing value on many household and branded products and we hope that local customers here will enjoy making us part of their weekly shop.”
The store will create 21 new jobs.
