Talented dancers young and old have won gold medals in tap, hip hop and folk.

Supported by The Orchard Theatre, students aged between seven and 73 from Paula Gosnell Dance School came out on top at a prestigious contest.

The team of 25 also took home five silver and two bronze medals during the World Dance Championships which took place in Eastbourne between May 24 and May 27.

Dartford Council and Kent County Council came together with The Orchard to support the school and enable the students to attend the contest.

Paula Gosnell, director of the school, said: “I am so proud of all of the students in the school for achieving so much in these championships.

“I know how much hard work went into our preparations and all the extra hours of rehearsals that everybody put themselves through but it was worth it.

“A big thank you once again to The Orchard, Dartford Council and KCC for their support and help during this time.

“The support given was and is, very much appreciated.

“With so many medals, we won't know where to put them all.”

Paula Gosnell Dance School will be performing a special show at The Orchard on Sunday September 30 which will give people the chance to watch the talented dancers in action.
