LAURA Hamilton proved she has what it takes to reach the final of Dancing on Ice with a dazzling performance last night (February 6).

Sparkling in a jewel encrusted white costume the 28-year-old from Meopham performed an astounding routine to Celine Dion’s All Coming Back To Me Now with skating partner Colin Ratushniak.

Despite a slight slip at the end of a tricky steps sequence the Nickelodeon children’s television presenter managed to pull it back and wow the judges into awarding her 24 points out of 30.

This was her highest score so far and just 1.5 points less than front runner Eastenders star Sam Attwater.

And it also brought her a standing ovation from the other contestants.

Speaking just after coming off the ice Ms Hamilton said: “I thoroughly enjoyed that.

“We are so grateful to be here and really appreciate everyone who is supporting us.”

And in a joking reference to tabloid rumours about her having a relationship with her skate partner she added: “I really tried to put the emotion across and get over the fact that we’re in love.”

Judge Jason Gardiner was very impressed with her performance, and said: “You actually really moved me tonight, it was a beautiful performance.

“I know there was that stumble but everything else you did was great, I love watching what you two are doing on that ice.”
