NEIL Sedaka made a surprise appearance last night at the world premiere of a musical based on his life.
The pop star, who had hits with Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen and Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, joined the cast of The Churchill theatre’s Laughter In The Rain for a performance during the show’s finale last Thursday.
Charting the New York singer’s career, from the 1950s to the 1970s, the musical at the Bromley venue opened to a sell-out crowd and stars Wayne Smith in the coveted title role.
