Remember, remember the 5th of November ...

Actually, many of this year’s bonfire and fireworks events take place on Saturday, November 4, which should be a spectacular night.

Here are some of the best displays taking place near you.

All you have to do is wrap up warm and enjoy the sights.

Chislehurst Rotary Club’s charity firework display, November 4

Expect performances from local dance academies at Chislehurst’s largest annual event, typically attracting over 6,000 people. The family fun begins at 5.30pm when gates open, with a kids funfair and a variety of tasty international food stalls.

Phoenix Fireworks has organised the technicolour display which begins at 7pm, which organisers insist will be the best in the area. The event, which has run for over 35 years, cost £7 for adults, £4 for children, with family tickets available for £17.

Money raised goes to local charities such as the Kent Air Ambulance, Kent Association for the Blind, Demelza House, Bromley Womens’ Aid, and the British Heart Foundation, as well as events for local school children and parties for the elderly who live alone in the area.

West Wickham firework display, November 4

West Wickham’s Rotary Club has organised this year’s firework extravaganza, offering hot food, snacks, mulled wine, a licensed bar and of course lots of fireworks.

Gates open at 5.30pm and the display starts at 6.30pm. Tickets can be bought at: www.westwickhamfireworks.co.uk

Proceeds from the display go to local and national charities including: St Christopher’s Hospice, Demelza House Hospice, Disability Snowsports and Magpie Dance.

Beckenham Fireworks in the Park, November 4

Taking place at Croydon Road recreation ground, it will start with a quiet bang-free display that will be autism-friendly and suitable for younger children at 6pm. This will be followed by the full bangs-and-music display at 7.45pm.

Families can expect a funfair, face-painting, food stalls and £10,000 worth of fireworks at this year’s event.

Gates open at 5pm when you will be able to fill your bellies with burgers, jerk chicken, jacket potatoes and much more.

The annual event has been running for more than 70 years and the tradition of giving the profits to support local charities continues.

Lambeth Fireworks, Brockwell Park, November 4

This year's theme is A Night at the Movies with 20 minutes of fireworks accompanied by soundtracks from a host of classic films.

From 5pm, the event begins with live music, funfair rides and plenty of food and drink. The firework display starts at 8pm.

Early bird tickets cost £8.50 for adults, £4 for children and family tickets are available from £25.

Knockholt Carnival Charities firework display, November 4

Wrap up warm and enjoy the firework display at Blueberry field (junction of Main Road and Blueberry Lane).

Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire begins at 6.45pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Tickets can be bought in advance, from Hancock’s Village Store in Halstead, Knockholt Village Store, The Harrow and The Three Horseshoes.

They cost £7 for adults, £4 for under-16s and under-4s can pop along for free.

All profits made go to Knockholt’s charities which include ICARE, SERV Kent and Butterfly Wishes.

Blackheath fireworks, November 4

Lewisham’s skyline will be lit up by the bonfire extravaganza, which one of London’s biggest free community displays hoping to attract over 80,000 people.

The event begins with a funfair from 12noon, as well as food, drinks and stalls from 5pm.

Fireworks and a BBQ at Tatsfield School, November, 3

School gates open at 6pm with a family-friendly firework display beginning at 7pm.

As well as tuckshops, glow-in-the-dark novelties and a bar, the school near Westerham will also have a BBQ selling sausages for £2 and burgers for £2.50 (veggie options also available).

Tickets can be picked up in advance from the school for £5.50. On-the-gate tickets will be £6 each or £25 for a family of five.

Brands Hatch’s British truck racing and firework display, November 5

When the British Truck Racing Championship has been completed the sky will light up with a 'big bang' fireworks display, accompanied by a parade of glittering show trucks on the racetrack.

Festivities include monster trucks, funfair rides and entertainment for children.

Under-13s can also enter a colouring and wordsearch competition to win a Scalextric BTCC Touring Car Battle set, tickets to the truck racing and fireworks and other prizes.

Tickets for the Sunday event cost £19 for adults, £12 for children (13-15) with under-13s able to attend for free.

Sevenoaks Round Table’s community fireworks display, November 4

Starting at 5pm in Sevenoaks High Street, revellers can enjoy music, entertainment, stalls, food and kids' rides.

At 7pm why not pop along for the torch procession, which takes families to Sevenoaks School field for the Sevenoaks Round Table spectacular fireworks display starting at 7:45pm.

Advance tickets cost £21 for families of four, £8 for adults, £5 for children, and free access for children four years and under. Prices may be more on the night.

Crystal Palace fireworks display, November 5

Families can choose from two shows to watch at this year's display, which supports St Christopher’s Hospice.

The children's show begins at 7pm and will be set to music, with less bangs and more colours. The main event starts at 8.30pm.

Advance tickets cost £8.50 for people aged over 11, £4.50 for children over the age of three and infants ages two and under have free entry. Tickets must be bought online and cost more if booked after November 4. See www.crystalpalacefireworks.co.uk/tickets

The Welling Round Table’s annual family fireworks spectacular, in Danson Park, November 4

Enjoy a great family evening out at the beautiful historic Danson Park. The 25 minutes of fireworks will be set over the lake and choreographed to music.

Featuring a children’s funfair, stalls and plenty of food and refreshments, all profits go to a charitable trust which invests in the local community.

New Ash Green fireworks, November 5

This year’s theme is 50 Years of New Ash Green, with fireworks being choreographed to songs chosen from all five decades.

Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.15pm and the fireworks display will begin at around 7pm.

Advance tickets are £3.50 per person and can be purchased from Pets Pantry & the VA Office. People may be charged more on the night.

Dartford Lions Club fireworks, November 4

Dartford Central Park will be the setting for fireworks night, with gates and funfair opening at 5pm, the bonfire being lit at 7.15pm and the display starting at 8pm.
