Strictly's own Siberian champion, Pasha Kovalev is coming to town.

The 2014 Strictly Come Dancing champion is embarking on his fifth UK tour and will be coming Wimbledon, Bromley, Dorking, Dartford and Richmond between March and June.

Speaking to Vibe about all things Strictly, the champion said: “Winning Strictly Come Dancing was an honour and a privilege.

“I think I was polished already but it is a very nice cherry on the cake.

“At the end of the day people are deciding who wins so if you make them feel what you dance, they join you.

“But I’m not holding on to that status - I am doing what I love and bringing positive emotions to people.

“A lot of people recognise me now and more and more people want to take pictures.”

It is clear that the 36-year-old hasn’t let the fame overtake him – his humility is palpable during the entire interview.

The Siberian born star started dancing when he was eight-years-old in then communist Russia.

Training in Moscow when he was 18-years-old, the dancer moved to the USA two years later with his professional dance partner Anya Garnis.

Since then the superstar has performed in Broadway plays and has taken part in tours around the world.

Kovalev said: “I was following my dance - there were more opportunities in America.

“I had a successful competitive career there - I didn’t plan on going on TV but look what happened.

“The producers noticed me and I became part of Strictly.

“I competed in everything but as I got older I focussed on Latin dancing - I do not know how that works with my Siberian veins.

“I do not know where it comes from but it is my passion.

Speaking about the show, Kovalev has promised a new and improved show, rivalling the showmanship of Strictly.

He said: “It is the fifth tour around the UK and the fourth time redesigning and restaging the entire show.

“I do not like redoing the same thing twice.

“Each time it’s getting better and better and better.

“The main focus is the dance, but for the first time I am bringing a singer with me.”

Kovalev added: “The show is of course for people who love dancing - they will see Strictly in the show - for example, the dominant and passionate paso doble and the beautiful foxtrot.

“I believe each dance is retold to do a certain emotion and you tell a different story with each dance - it’s like a mini play and when you put it together you have a beautiful picture.

“There will be music you will recognise and will join people together.

“ I have songs in the show that you will hear on the radio - new and classics - the entire family will find something they like.”

Audiences have been promised a lot of sparkling costumes and a lot of lights too which can only be a bonus.

Pasha Kovalev’s It’s All About You tour is at New Wimbledon Theatre on April 6, the Churchill Theatre in Bromley in April 9, Dorking Halls on April 28, the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on May 10, Richmond Theatre on June 2. Go to pashakovalev.co.uk
