If you just can’t wait to be king of the West End stage then an almighty chance is coming up to appear in one of theatre’s biggest shows.
Open auditions are being held in November for Disney’s The Lion King, which is now in its 16th year at the Lyceum Theatre and has entertained over 12 million theatregoers.
Singers can try-out at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church on November 7 while dancers can audition closer to home at Moonshot Centre in New Cross on November 21.
Morning registration starts at 10am and auditionees should arrive early. Afternoon registration begins at 1.30pm.
The Disney casting team is looking for singers with strong soulful or gospel-style voices, who can also dance, while dancers should have a modern dance background with acrobatic skills keenly desired. Performers of all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, over the age of 18, are encouraged to attend.
