It’s less than 100 days until Christmas and that means panto season is nearly upon us. Oh yes it is.
The cast of this year’s pantomime at The Churchill Theatre in Bromley gathered at The Old Palace in Bromley Civic Centre last week to officially launch Aladdin.
Woolwich born-and-raised, Scott Maslen leads the cast as Abanazer. He has previously starred in The Bill and as Jack Branning on EastEnders. More recently, he has appeared as a contestant on Strictly and did well on Celebrity Masterchef.
Milkshake presenter Jen Pringle will play Princess Jasmine, variety performer Bobby Crush returns to play Widow Twankey and Citv presenter Luke Roberts is Aladdin.
Jen told News Shopper: “I love it all. I love being in panto, everyone basically becomes your family. It is so much fun on the stage, you never know what’s going to happen.
“I met Scott for the first time today – he’s hilarious. It’s going to be brilliant fun.”
The panto’s PC Pong, Charlie Guest even took the chance to get out on the beat with some of Bromley’s real police.
Aladdin is at The Churchill Theatre, Bromley, from November 27 to January 3. Go to atgtickets.com/bromley
