Aspiring young actors are being given the chance to appear on stage in a professional production in Croydon.

Four young actors and actresses, aged 16 and over, are being sought by Sell a Door Theatre company to take voluntary, non-speaking parts in the adaptation of the children’s book The Silver Sword when it comes to the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls, on October 9 and 10.

The adaptation follows the dramatic story of Polish refugees in the Second World War and their dangerous journey to be reunited with their families.

The young actors will play children in the play’s schoolroom scenes.

They will need to be available for performances at 7pm on October 9 and 1pm and 7pm on October 10 as well as rehearsal on either the evening of October 8 or afternoon of October 9.

Aspiring actors should send a short video clip to Celia at development@fairfield.co.uk  by September 11.

The video should include a full length shot, a head shot, the actor introducing themselves and stating their date of birth and height.
