CBeebies’ legend Justin Fletcher has lent his voice to a children’s show that’s coming to Croydon during the summer holidays.

Mr Tumble has voiced the title character in Pongo’s Party, which is created and presented by Martin Parsons and Kate Ashmead whose credits include Playdays and the Tweenies.

Set in a colourful farmyard full of puppet characters, the family show is designed for three to seven-year-olds and uses makaton signing with singing so everyone can join in.

MORE THEATRE AND COMEDY:

Directed by Playschool presenter and Tweenies creater Iain Lauchlan, it is set on Pongo the Pig’s birthday. He’s been dropping hints all year and is looking forward to a party, but no-one seems to remember.

Children can join in the fun with songs and laughter, take part in the town’s biggest game of pass the parcel and join the largest children’s band.

Pongo’s Party is at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls, Croydon on August 1. Go to fairfield.co.uk
