Audiences are being encouraged to have their say on how to make Dartford’s Orchard Theatre more accessible.
An Access Forum from 2pm on Friday (May 15), will give people the chance to discuss what is being done to enhance the theatre experience for people with access needs, such as audio described, signed, captioned and relaxed performances.
MORE THEATRE AND COMEDY:
The theatre is also working on increasing staff training – including basic sign language for some – and has refurbished its disabled toilet.
Coming up, there is a signed performance of Oklahoma! on June 11, a signed performance of Avenue Q in June 25, a captioned performance of An Inspector Calls on September 19.
Pantomime Dick Whittington gets a signed performance on December 16, a relaxed performance on December 17 and an audio described performance on January 3.
To attend Friday’s forum, e-mail Zeldo Kitto at admin@orchardtheatre.co.uk by Thursday.
